Mission

Aim is to be among best technical and vocational institute to produce futuristic and modern technical workforce primarily in the field of construction and allied technologies so as to meet inland and overseas Human Resource requirements and contribute in nation building. In pursuit of Mission, we intend focusing on core moral & ethical values essentially needed for par excellence professionals.

From Service to Excellence

Our History

  • 2005 – Established as a Design & Consultancy Wing in Nazir Apartments, Rawalpindi.
  • 2006 – Upgraded to Resource Development Institute (RDI), formally inaugurated by the Adjutant General (AG).
  • 2008 – Transformed into the National Foundation for Resource Development (NFRD) with a focus on capacity building and poverty alleviation.
  • 2011 – Relocated to Rawat, establishing two branches:
  • NFRD Public School & College (NPS&C)
  • NFRD Skill Development School offering short courses and a 3-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE).
  • May 2015 – Housing Directorate (Hsg Dte) assumed operational control and the institution was renamed Askari Institute of Technology (AIT).
  • 2024 – Shifted to the current campus, previously used as a hostel.
  • Present – New infrastructure development is underway to enhance facilities and expand academic programs.

DAE Admissions

Students who have passed Matric with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Computer, Biology and Mathematics) are eligible to apply.

A minimum of 50% marks in Matric (Science Group) is required to be eligible for DAE programs.

You will need:
– 4 passport-size attested photographs
– 4 attested photocopies of Matric mark sheet
– B-Form or CNIC photocopy
– Father’s CNIC photocopy
– Filled admission form

Yes, applicants from any recognized educational board in Pakistan can apply for admission.

Yes, the DAE is equivalent to 12th grade or F.Sc., recognized by the relevant boards and institutions.

Principal’s Message

Welcome to the Askari Institute of Technology (AIT) — a centre of technical learning and professional excellence, where knowledge transforms into skill. Our vision is to enable youth to become technologists and skill leaders, capable of not only securing jobs but creating them.

AIT offers Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) programs in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Architecture, and Computer Information Technology, along with short courses in over 30 industrial trades under NAVTTC, PSDF, and self-financed schemes. Since 2012 over 10,000 skill workers and 2400 Associate Engineers graduated from AIT are contributing nationwide and globally, that speaks volume about institutional performance. Our goal is to develop competent, confident, and creative technicians / skill workers equipped to meet the challenges of modern industry.

We believe education must range beyond classrooms — sharpening technical services, humanising ethical values, and nurturing an entrepreneurial mind-set. Guided by experienced faculty and strengthened by partnerships with NAVTTC, PSDF, PSDA, and PBTE; AIT continues to align training with evolving technological and market needs.

As Principal, I reassure our commitment to quality education, skill-based training, and industry relevant crafts. I invite students, parents, and partners to join us in our pursuit of excellence through knowledge, talent and applied skills. Local industry and chamber of commerce, with us you can train your un-skilled labours and up-skill the skilled workers on very doable customised model. Likewise, its applicable to overseas employment promoters (OEP) looking skilled workers for international employers.
