DAE Electrical 2nd Year Study Visit to 132 KV Grid Station, Marir Hassan, Rawalpindi
The DAE Electrical 2nd Year students of AIT recently visited the 132 KV Grid Station at Marir Hassan, Rawalpindi, on 04 December 2025. The grid station is a fully functional electrical substation operated by the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).
This study visit provided students with practical exposure to high-voltage power systems and substation operations, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world electrical engineering applications. Guided by experienced staff at the facility, students observed the functioning of transformers, circuit breakers, and other critical components of the station.
